Francisco Mayo is a traditional Roncalese house. Come and enjoy this comfortable family home located in the heart of Navarre Pyrenees. The spacious 19th century character rural house retains many of its original features such as roof beams, wooden doors and part of its furniture. The bedrooms have been tastefully furnished with rustic and Antique furniture and guests will be delighted with outstanding views from the bedrooms. They will also enjoy our delicious home-made mermelades( all made from our ecological fruits), home cooked-dinners (the menu features seasonal vegetables from our garden as well as a wide choice of homemade desserts). A warm welcome awaits guests willing to unwind and enjoy nature. We speak English, Euskaraz badakigu, on parlais Français.

A delightful 19th Century timber framed house with stunning views, Casa Francisco Mayo is in a  pyrenean village surrounded by mountains . A warm hospitality and helpful advice will ensure a memorable stay. It is a typically rustic, attractively decorated  house which offers guests home cooked-dinners and delicious home- made mermelades for breakfasts. 

Here you have a short description of the house: 

On the ground floor: one double room with bathroom, tv. This spacious and comfortable room ovelooks a garden. 
On the first floor: dining-breakfast room with chimney for cooler evenenings.  
On the second floor: two double rooms, a bathroom and a living room with a small library, tv, DVD where guests can relax and enjoy beautiful views of the impressive mountains. Attic: two double rooms (one of them is a double bed room), a bathroom. Stunning views from the spacious and tastefully decorated rooms.  

All rooms have Wifi access. 

Izaba/Isaba is the prototype of Pyrenean village, crowned by its defensive Gothic Church. It is a picturesque village which has two municipal car parks, indoor pools, indoor racquetball, playground, a choice of pubs ad restaurants nearby, a cinema.. It is also the center for all the excursions to the impressive  Valley of Belagua, the most relevant ecosystem Izaba has, with altitudes ranging between  1.100 metres at the "Rincón de Belagua" and 2428 m at the "Mesa de los tres reyes", the highest peak of Navarre.    

Belagua Valley is located north of the Roncal Valley and offers tourists fantastic walks through wooded hillside forests with streams and rivers. Next to Belagua tourists find Larra, a natural reserve, home of the most unique and representative ecosystems in Navarre. Moreover, it is one of the most oustanding morphological karst landscapes in Europe.  

Those willing to discover the beauty of Belagua Valley can Access from Isaba. They will enjoy an unspoilt landscape, wonderful trekkings, mountaneering, nordic sky at the Ferial station, bird watching, walks through idyllic forests...  This road will take them to  St. Martin Stone, more than 1,750 meters of altitude, and where it is celebrated every year ( the 13th of July) the traditional Tribute of the Three Cows.  

Corners left by the wayside, chasms, mountains, forests, reserves, canyons, waterfalls, flora, fauna, and numerous ski trails of varying difficulty. At The highest peaks of the Pyrenees and Navarre-known officers of the Three Kings, Ukerdi, Budogia, Txamantxoia, Lakartxela, ... - and other upcoming as Anie (Auñamendi) Petretxema or Acherito, preside and enhance the wide valley where people, animals and forests live in perfect harmony for centuries.  

Sheep, cattle and horses occupy the commons, while the far corners hosting animal species such as bear, chamois, marmot, ermine, partridge, golden eagle, osprey or pitonegro, some of them in endangered. 

Some sites of this broad valley are protected by law because of their high ecological value. Try to walk in nature reserves as  Aztaparreta ,Larra and Ukerdi and have the opportunity to enjoy the flight of eagles, grouse or Bearded Vulture, the agile walk of fun gall chamois or marmots. You will also be delighted with the  contrast between the black pine and  Larra rocks, or the shadows of the huge firs and beech surrounding Aztaparreta ravine.
